Remember back when Samuel came to anoint Saul king over Israel but Saul who was ‘from the shoulders upward taller than any of the people’ 1 tried to hide among the baggage? Years later the King of Judah, Jehoshaphat, reigned as one of the godly leaders. It was said of him that the Lᴏʀᴅ was with him because he walked in godly ways, sought God and avoided idols so that God established the kingdom under him such that ‘he had great riches and honor.’ Then we have a signature phrase,
Jehoshaphat’s heart character was ‘courageous’ in the ways of the Lᴏʀᴅ—‘courageous’ is the same Hebrew as ‘he was taller’! Another way of saying this is “Jehoshaphat stood tall in the ways of the Lᴏʀᴅ.’
No matter your stature physically, you are able to ‘stand tall’ in the ways of the Lᴏʀᴅ, in the strength of His might, convinced, steadfast, confident in the Lᴏʀᴅ’s ability to accomplish His desires in you.
