He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
Do you have a heart that seeks after God? Is God just? Does all mankind have a desire for connection with God borne within?
Ecclesiastes 3:11 is a verse that gives a glimpse beyond the veil of the unseen into God’s workings that are not readily apparent to the eye. Two truths, both related to God’s creative design:
God created everything beautiful in the context of His creation
God placed into the inner being of man a sense of things beyond the apparent
‘God don’t make no junk’ is slang for the truth of Creation, that God’s original creation was both beautiful and complete. No exceptions. None. Even Satan was created complete and it was only through his will to choose that he became opposed to God. He was not created sinful.
The implanting of an eternity-awareness into mankind is the theme of author Don Richardson’s 1981 book Eternity in their Hearts. 1 This book is the history of Creator God, the Lᴏʀᴅ rooted into the hearts of cultures around the world. God has placed the seed of hunger for Him in all races and has been found by those who earnestly seek Him. The story includes numerous accounts of cultures with a distant desire for the true Lᴏʀᴅ that are readily open to His revealing of Himself.
Thank God that He created us ‘beautiful,’ in His image and that He placed a sense of something beyond ourselves into our hearts. And that He continues to reveal Himself and draw us to Himself so that we may respond and be restored in Him, finding out what He makes known. Thank you, Lᴏʀᴅ.
