God Took Him

In Genesis 3:8, the first couple heard the sound of Lord God ‘walking’ in the garden in the cool of the day. In Genesis 5:22, Enoch walked with God 300 years after his children began to be born. Then today’s verse tells us this same Enoch “walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.”

Do you have habits that have become second nature, so ingrained into your life that they identify who you are? Here’s one to desire—be so agreeable with the desires of God that walking in step with God describes your life.

“He was not” is that he was no longer among his people for Enoch was now with his God. Put yourself into the God-relationship where you are so close to Him you won’t notice the passing from death into Life.
