How much more do you need to know before you are able to live Life before God? God has given us the Bible, His autobiography, as an introduction to what we need to know about Him and Life. Unfortunately, some of us are consumed with curiosity about what He hasn’t revealed and spend more time and energy pursuing that which doesn’t bring Life as He intended.
Our first quest for Knowledge apart from God’s revelation was by the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. We insisted on ‘knowing’ as God knows but ours came without the wisdom and understanding apart from God.
Our text says there are ‘the secret things that belong to the Lᴏʀᴅ our God,’ things that God says are neither timely nor useful for us. The Lᴏʀᴅ does say that what He has revealed enables us ‘that we may do all the words of this law.’
In Information Age, we are overwhelmed by too much ‘truth’ yet we seek even more than what we can responsibly act upon before God.
Today, let us focus on what is sure, what is true, what is revealed in God’s Word and live in the sufficiency of His Truth.
