BELIEFS

While we considered historicals as shaped by the haze of optics even though they were real events at a point-in-time and therefore real and true, Belief is more closely faith in the reality or substance of that which cannot directly be quantified. Many elements of civilization can rightly be classified as finite in history as the sense given in the Optics section.

Nevertheless, Faith, Philosophy, Polity1 and Science all are key elements of civilization and undergird much of social interaction and culture. In these four groups of articles, we will look at how they each impact decisions made in any civilization.

Polity in this sense is any organized rule to which we submit ourselves: government, relationships, social expectations or such.
