God’s course of victory is not always intuitive. The Jews are told to ‘believe in the Lᴏʀᴅ,’ to ‘believe His prophets’ and that they will be ‘established’ and ‘succeed’ in that belief of God’s provision. Sure, that makes good sense but then Jehoshaphat sends the singers out unarmed except for praise ahead of the army. That is a bold response to God!
God’s ‘ambush’ followed praise of Him and was not by military might but by God being acknowledged as Lᴏʀᴅ in the praise of who He is.
Belief followed by praise was God’s agency of routing out the enemy. Have you had that experience in your life? Have you given God opportunity to route your enemies through your belief and praise of Him for who He is in your relationship with Him? Give God the opportunity to ‘ambush’ the enemies of your life in Him.
